March 9, 1927 - July 25, 2024

In loving memory of William, who was born in Yorkshire, England, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1959, carrying with him a dream of establishing a farm that would one day embrace an extended family.

After two years in Prince George, they found their piece of land in Vanderhoof, which they named Halltray Farms, what began as a modest dairy farm flourished over the years, eventually spanning enough acreage and livestock to serve as both a home and a thriving family business. Despite the changes that time brought, William's dream endured and today, the farm continues to thrive under the care of a second and third generation.

William's "Happy place" was always atop a tractor, working in the fields.

At noon, like clockwork, he would pause, and his lunch - lovingly prepared by his wife - would appear.

Survived by his devoted wife of 73 years, Evelyn, William leaves behind a legacy cherished by his daughters: Janet (Larry) Bangs, Margaret, and son Stuart (Mary) Hall.

His grandchildren: Jay (Nancy) Bangs, Jean Johnson, Jasmin (Cody) Campbell, Brian (Katrina) Hall, Amanda (Luke) Muehlen, and Tiffany Hall - along with 13 great-grandchildren, carry forward his spirit.

He was predeceased by Grandson Jeremy in 1991.

We remember William with gratitude and honor the life he built for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in William's name to Stuart Nechako Manor.
