I have hesitated to voice my opinion of the proposed location of the skateboard park in Ferland Park because I live outside of the town limits. However, I must let you know I feel it is the wrong location. Ferland Park is a serene, calm location to relax. When my son and I did live in town (in an apartment) it gave us a place to go. Now I can take my grandchildren there and watch them as I relax on the grass. I enjoy the Music in the Park event and the Farmer’s Market. I think it is a perfect location for these things. And what about the Movies in the Park that were there last summer? Will that be continued?
I am all for a skateboard park. It is long overdue, but not in Ferland Park.
