The Boys team won the Zone Championship Banner which was a first for them at the High School track and field zone championships held in Prince George May 20 and 21. The girls have won 2 times previous.
The Girls placed 3rd. The 18 member team, the largest in the Zone, brought home 45 medals as 15 high schools took part in the Zone Championship. Ten of the team members also qualified for the Provincial Track and Field Championships and will be heading to Nanaimo June 2 to 4.
The Qualifiers are: Simon Nemethy, Elliot Tone, Ethan Floris, Hunter Floris, Emma Floris, Cohen Thiessen, Jacob Hascarl, Sara McBride, Matthew Ebert, and Christina Askeland.
