Great weather and conditions helped 16 Nechako Nordics skiers

Great weather and conditions helped 16 Nechako Nordics skiers compete in Provincial Cup races in Prince George February 4-5. Junior race team with biathletes and three adults joined about 180 particpants from across B.C.

Junior race team will be heading down to Salmon Arm for the BC Championships Feb. 18-19. Sunday Feb. 12 lots of Vanderhoof residents will enter the Prince George Iceman (winter multi stage event). It includes an 8km (4km for jr.) skate ski, 10km run  (2 runners for jr. teams), 5000m skate, (3000m for jr.), 5 im run and 800m swim (400 m for jr).  This event usually draws between 600 and 700 participants.
