Vanderhoof’s eight-year-old Jimmy Reed is the youngest rider of the 2016 Prospera Valley GranFondo in Fort Langley on July 24.

Vanderhoof’s eight-year-old Jimmy Reed, the youngest rider of the 2016 Prospera Valley GranFondo in Fort Langley, completed 48 kilometres in two hours, 26 minutes, 36 seconds on July 24.

Starting at 7 a.m., riders of the mass cycling race meandered through Langley’s country roads in three events, including  the 160-kilometre GrandFondo, 88-kilometre MedioFondo, as well as the 50-kilometre Prestor Fondo.
