Vanderhoof’s midget lacrosse team reigned supreme at the ‘C’ division provincial championship tournament in Coquitlam from July 8 to 10. The Bears defeated Nanaimo 8-1, Cowichan 10-5, West Kootenay 7-6, and Kamloops 13-0. At the championship game, Vanderhoof triumphed against West Kootenay again with 7-3.
Vanderhoof players won the following awards: All-star by Hunter Floris, Fairplay Award by Addison Miller-Gauthier, Lacrosse Zone Scholarship Award by Kyler Boucher, Gold Medal Game MVP by Kyler Boucher, and Tournament MVP by Simon Nemethy.
