Last week I picked up a hitchhiker. This in itself was not abnormal. When I was living outside of Vanderhoof, I would often give rides to people from Stoney Creek on my way to town.

Pool will likely cost a lot more than current estimates

I don’t object to having a pool if that’s what everyone wants. I believe we are not getting all the facts though from our city council. I don’t see why we have to have a Hollywood style swimming pool for Vanderhoof.

The B.C. Liberal government, paid for by the taxpayer, given large salaries and pensions most taxpayers will never attain, continues to represent business. The same lineup; except for the substitution of Christy “The Cat Lady” Clark for Gordon “its not on the radar” Campbell; that ambushed us with the HST persists in spending taxpayer money like drunken sailors. Although this is an insult to drunken sailors, as they at least spend their own money.
